I’m a recently retired Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with over thirty years of experience. My journey spans roles as an associate, practice owner, DSO employee, independent contractor, and member of a multi-specialty group practice. I’ve worked in both full-scope hospital-based surgery with trauma call and later focused on dentoalveolar procedures. From small towns to big cities, and with varying styles and scopes of practice, I found each setting to be unique and fulfilling.

Connecting Elite Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons with Premier Practices

Oral Surgery wasn’t my first or only career direction. At one time I pursued Pre-Law and Petroleum Engineering, and also worked in management at Bell Telephone. These experiences gave me a broad perspective and the confidence to pivot when needed. Life has never been linear for me — and I’m grateful for that.

When orthopedic issues forced me to step back from clinical practice, I explored a number of new areas of endeavor, and yet something was still missing. A combination of threads and contacts led me back to the understanding that I was still deeply connected to my career as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. Re-entering the arena as an OMS Recruiter felt less like a decision and more like a calling.

Now, I step into what I call my second professional life — full of energy, the wisdom of experience, and purpose. I’m not returning to the operatory, but nevertheless to the profession I love and respect, in a new and meaningful way.
